B & I Design Sdn Bhd was established in 2006 from a home-grown company of handicraft souvenir products to being involved in insect specimens and now reinventing ourselves to be the leading terrarium maker (Terrarium World) and insect hobby shop (Royal Beetle) in Malaysia.

Our founder began to produce unique glass casings more than 20 years ago. Terrarium was not as well known during that time and not easily accessible since internet was not common. In 2005, we opened our very first retail shop at Hartamas Shopping Centre. Due to public scepticism and lack of knowledge, our terrarium venture did not succeed. Since during the covid-19 pandemic, interest in terrariums has revived and gained popularity locally as well as internationally.

Terrarium become popular in Malaysia just within these few years. Throughout the years, we have been focusing not solely on terrarium glass casing but also in green design for the society living spaces.

We have been supplying geometrical glass casings to most of the terrarium makers in Malaysia. We have also handled international orders, but still searching for better options to ship smaller quantity due to the high logistic costs. We hope our terrariums are easily available worldwide. We create and assemble our own terrarium glass casings of various geometrical shapes and sizes relevant for today’s terrarium enthusiasts in this market.

Terrarium leads our perspective to encase the lush greenery of our beautiful rainforest, making them exotic decorations.
